I am delighted that Bury St Edmunds Station has been allocated Access for All Funding. Something I have long campaigned for alongside local groups.
The funding will mean that a new accessible entrance can be built on the north side of the station, with a link to the new car park and station concourse.
This follows Access for All Funding also being secured for Needham Market Station and Stowmarket Station and is part of a Government program to improve accessibility at stations. Ensuring everyone in our community will benefit from easier access to our rail network.
