It was a privilege to once again visit the East Anglian Air Ambulance but this time with Elliot and Rachel, two incredibly brave young people whose actions are a credit to our community.
While there we discussed the importance of not using mobile phones while driving and of always wearing a seatbelt. Two messages that can never be over emphasised.
I was interested to learn about East Anglian Air Ambulance’s aftercare nurses who support people after they have been involved in a trauma and are on the road to recovery. This is an important part of helping individuals cope with the events they have gone through.
The work of air ambulances should never be underestimated. By their very nature air ambulances respond to the most serious incidents. We all hope we will never need these services, but like everyone I am really grateful for their dedication, skills and professionalism.
