Suffolk Community Advocacy:
Suffolk Community Advocacy’s aim is to work with community groups or those organisations which represent them to develop a network of community members with the skills and knowledge to offer informal advocacy support and advice. The project will help individuals or groups within a defined community to ‘make their voice heard’.
Informal advocacy is concerned with helping people speak up for themselves. It may include: self-advocacy i.e. speaking up for yourself; group advocacy i.e. more than one person self-advocating; peer advocacy i.e. one person helping another to get their voice heard.
