From Monday 8th August to Friday 12th August Jo Churchill MP toured her Bury St Edmunds, in total visiting 44 towns and villages from Horringer to Stowupland and Wortham to Bradfield St Clare. The purpose of the tour was for Jo to make herself available to local residents on village greens and in church halls to discuss matters with their Member of Parliament.
Following her week-long tour, Jo Churchill commented: “
The tour of my Bury St Edmunds constituency across five days was hugely successful, meeting with residents and associations across 44 villages. It proved an excellent opportunity for local residents to raise their concerns with their Member of Parliament.
I met with hundreds of residents and discussed issues ranging from local footpaths and road signs to health concerns and village infrastructure. Particularly for those harder to reach areas where broadband or infrastructure may be a decisive issue in accessing support, it is important all our local areas are represented.
It was a pleasure to meet with and speak to everyone who came along and I look forward to hosting further tours in the future.”
