Reading brings health benefits for all members of our communities, but for children in particular, it helps them to learn, improves mood and broadens their horizons. I had a great morning with students and staff of Bacton Primary School as part of events to mark National Literacy Trust's‘#Take10ToRead campaign.
Reading with my children, and now my granddaughter is one of my favourite activities - just 10 minutes a day can make a real difference. I am currently reading ‘Lady in Waiting’ by Anne Glenconner and ‘Under the Knife’ by one of my constituents, Liz O’Riordan - I always have more than one book on the go and I find it a great way to switch off at the end of a busy day!
