On Tuesday 16th June Mrs Churchill intervened on a motion which was considering the access to drugs for ultra-rare diseases, raising the case of a constituent for consideration.
The intervention was to draw attention to access to Everolimus, an approved drug which is currently awaiting a prescribing policy.
Reflecting on the debate, Mrs Churchill said: “It is important to raise awareness not only in the public but with my colleagues, of the situation regarding access to drugs and particularly to Everolimus. I trust my intervention has raised the profile of this situation and see it recognised.”
