Kate Nicholls, CEO of UKHospitality paid a visit to our foodie capital last week to meet with local traders and those working in some of our fantastic pub, hotel and restaurant businesses.
Alongside UK Hospitality member and owner of The One Bull and the Gusto group Roxane Marjoram, we visited the Angel Hotel, meeting with owner Robert Gough and Mark Cordell, CEO of Our Bury St Edmunds BID. We had a good discussion about the issues affecting the hospitality sector as well as spotlighting the fantastic destination that Bury St Edmunds is.
The eco-friendly Pedicab service transported us to the historic Greene King brewery, an integral part of our local economy. Kate was treated to the full Greene King brewery tour and hospitality.
We are lucky to be home to both many long established and new hospitality businesses, they collectively play a part in contributing to a sector that is vital to our local area. As well as the names above the door at these establishments, there are the staff who contribute in making sure that the best guest experiences are provided for all those that visit Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket and our local area.
